ART

or something like that

ART OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT

My first love was photography.

I was able to put limits to my taste of a reality that was already in the past.

Art is something that exists but is not useful, it is generated by the mere fact of existing and dying in the vision of the other.

I don't know if what I do is art or not, but I can assure you that it is born from the centre of me with the need to come out.

I don't look for an explanation, I just enjoy the pleasure of creating it.

My second love is cinematography.

I found myself not only putting limits in a frame, but generating volume in that space.

The study of light and how bodies compose space, how the eye can travel through both an image and a video. What of all that one sees really remains?

In this section you will find both my photographic and cinematographic works. I hope they generate something of what I felt doing them.

CUERPAS

In a volcanic landscape, where water for thousands of years has been shaping an irregular and cold relief, we see bodies. The soft can be strong, as the solid can be tender.
The series called CUERPAS plays from its name with the feminine of the Spanish word ‘cuerpos’ (bodies).

COMPAÑ(ERES)

This project was born from the need for a challenge. A random space, a random couple, working only with natural light and see what was happening in those moments together. The connection between them and my quest to capture an essence.
The search for nostalgia between bodies and relationships in the spaces of their homes.

No sexualization, no stigmas, just bodies interacting with the spaces they inhabited, feeling, posing, resting, being and merely existing.

The title is a play on words in Spanish. The word Compañero (partner), together with the word Eres (to be). To be someone's partner, to be your own relationship, and to exist in company.

Captures of a mundane life

Pictures that I feel have to be shown but without why.
